LA GRANGE
La Grange is an old farmhouse dating back to the 18th Century. It has been modernised to a high standard with an eye to comfort. Each bedroom has its own bathroom; the sitting room is 40ft square with far-reaching views across the Isere valley towards Les Arcs and there is a separate dining room with seating for up to 12. If the two houses are rented together, the dining room can seat up to 20 people.
Walking in from the quiet lane outside, you are immediately in the heart of the house with the kitchen and large dining room opening off the hall. The dining room has been carved out of the mountain and originally housed the animals. It has a large fireplace and is an exceptionally large entertaining area.
On this floor there is also a separate loo and a study with a fax machine.
All the bedrooms are on the first floor, all with their own bathrooms. Two of the rooms are double bedded (one 6ft bed and the other 5ft) and the other two can be either 6ft doubles or single beds. There is also a separate shower room on this floor.
The top floor is simply one large, stunning sitting room. There are two distinct seating areas; one being the television corner which boasts a 42” plasma screen and DVD player. From the large balcony, you can watch the sun set behind the mountains while relaxing after a hard day’s skiing.
LES VOISINS
There are three accesses to this house: either through the ground floor garage, the first floor or straight into the top living area. The garage level also houses the ski room.
The bedroom floor is sandwiched between the two other floors and comprises four bedrooms, two of which are en suite and two other bedrooms which share a shower room. The two ensuite rooms have 6’ beds, one of the others has twin beds, and the fourth has three children’s beds two of which are bunks. The house can therefore accommodate 9 people in total.
The top floor is one large room containing a stunning contemporary wood burning stove. There is a large kitchen, a dining area and loads of sitting space leading onto a balcony which runs the length of the house and overlooks the valley.
The house is brand-new and decorated to a high standard. It would ideally suit 2 families on a self-catering, self-drive holiday.
